Vintage Flowers from Old Newspaper
2009
When I posted my newest card over on my blog, several folks requested a tutorial on creating these vintage style flowers our of old newspapers.
So today’s tutorial will walk you through creating these type of flowers using old newspaper and other supplies you may have on hand.
standby="Loading Microsoft Windows® Media Player components..." type="application/x-oleobject" width="500" height="340">
For this project you will need:
- colored ink (I used Stampin’ Up!)
- metallic ink (I used ENCORE INK)
- hole punch (I used Stampin’ Up!)
- a paperclip or bone folder
- an old newspaper
First step is to cut out your flower ![]()
Ink up one side with your colored ink
Lay the flower on you metallic pad
Rub it with something to get a good coating of ink on your flower
Once you have your flowers and they have dried you can then use them as embellishments on cards or scrapbook pages!
Save money, reduce, reuse, and recycle.
PS: Everyone keeps asking me who is Jennifer Macguire, she’s ONLY one of my favorite blogs, EVER! LOL.. Her blog is HERE. TONS of great project videos made for twopeasinabucket

Oh, Bunny! I LOVE your tut! You have made me want to drag out all of my stamping stuff! On second thought, none of it has seen the light of day in over two years, so I will need new ink pads, Hobby Lobby here I come!
Big hugs,
Vicki

Hi Bunny!
Love your hybrid cards, and really enjoyed your vid. Great fun hearing your voice!
I would love more hybrid tuts, we all have so much digi stash but its very satisfying to create someting with your hands, too.
Thanks!
